As the value of the US Dollar continues to decline against other currencies and against the value of real goods, this introduces many distortions into economic statistics measured in US Dollars (such as retail sales).

Like many people unfamiliar with economics, you are confusing the effects of a currency devaluation with prosperity. Sure it looks like prosperity on paper when measured in Dollars, but not when translated into other currencies, or when deflated by an honest indicator of inflation.

Most inflation indicators do not fully reflect the effects of the Dollar devaluation, which provides you an accurate assessment of the dishonesty now built into these indicators.

Since you have no familiarity with economics, its easy for you to assume that your "insights" are brilliant, rather than simply mistaken. May I suggest some years of study so you can recognize your own errors without needing to rely upon others to point them out for you.
