Thanks Tommaso hope all is well with you.

1) it looks like flaherty is pretty well fixed in his position. Perhaps some time some changes will be made to have the impact less on US investors who are hit pretty hard. Most of my investments are in my taxable account so the impact on an after tax basis is not that great for me.

2) i am sure accountants are looking if tax pools etc can be used to reduce taxable income. I think i read cos.un could perhaps use tax pools to reduce the impact of tax for a couple of years.

3)I have not sold any cos.un. I have a small amount of cll and pbg but they represent about 10 % of my cos.un holdings. These are probably better speculation stocks than some mining stocks that are producing nothing.

4) I sold my es this week and still have en. Some of these trusts will have difficulty in the next couple of years.I bought some natural gas stocks recently bme and tsk on TSX.
I think given normal weather NG will go up and NG stocks should do well.

5) On peak oil it seems to me at least cheap oil is in significant decline. Most of the newer sources are from higher priced wells. This belief is one of the major reasons I keeps cos.un, I also see some chance of the middle east getting worse. What are the chances of a full civil war in iraq and what do other countries in the region do. To me it is a big mess and it may well get worse. A major spike in oil is possible within a year or two. Under this scenario the US stock market will go down a lot.

6) Unfortunately i missed the big increase in uranium stocks and have not really studied these stocks. How did you french power company turn out you mentioned.

Hope these opinions make sense and nice to hear from you
