Wow. The only friend I have had pass away like that was a guy and his family I knew while in the military. The way I heard it he crossed the double line to pass on a two lane road coming to the top of a hill. The tractor-trailer took out he and his wife instantly but his 4 kids survived in the back of the station wagon they were driving. What a horror that was!
