Very often true. However, the God of the Bible mostly warned and denounced His own people Israel for every sin imaginable, including shedding innocent blood. This God also condemned most of their kings and priests and prophets -- the very ones in power and who had the ability to write on behalf of their culture. So, for what corporate reason did they invent, in their writings, a God that mostly condemned them and their ways?
