Very nice post, Herm. Thanks for taking the time to put it down.

While I've been reading the covered call thread, I don't trade in options. But I'm becoming interested. I hold 4000 shares of VVUS at an average price of $27. It is my feeling that VVUS is, at this time, a good long term hold. But I'm afraid of the pullback after the Q3 earnings announcement. Should I just sit tight or learn to tap dance with options?

It occurs to me I'm asking this on the wrong thread. I would appreciate anyones thoughts. (This is an ongoing real case study.)
