McCain Hires Smearvets Team After Calling Them "dishonest and Dishonorabe" in 2004 nytimes.com Remember, folks, the smearvets were not real vets, thyey were a dirty tricks PR hit squad using a few vets who hardly knew Kerry as their frontmen. McCain just hired these bastards which means no more straight-talking from Johnny. In fact he's the dishonorable one now. These same GOP smear jockeys spread rumors in 2000 that McCain was a "coward, traitor, insane" and had fathered a black bastard child with a prostitute. Which shows us a lot about the current state of the rightwing mind.
