That is significant news! I'd appreciate it if you provide a link to it. Here is a bit of background on the voting age issue. Originally, voting age was 18. Several years ago, when the reformists were running strong, the conservatives lowered the voting age to 16. The idea being that the poorer people have more kids and that they would support the conservatives better. They lost big. Even in Qom, the most religious city in Iran, not a single cleric was elected to the parliament. So if they are now going back to the original, perhaps the conservatives are thinking they have lost all support.
