Ok, then why make a point of the fact that the article was not written by you? Ask me if I can read, which you well know I can do far, far better than you?
It's really not much fun to deal with folks who think with their glands.
Let's talk about why Iran is some sort of Denmark-style democracy, liberal, tolerant, open to women's rights, modernity, secular values, etc. If you agree with that particular aspect of the article, which I suppose you do because you go along with its "gist", then you should be able to defend your thesis.
