I don't watch Beck, and really don't know much about him, but there is not doubt that Zogby has an agenda too. Like I said, I don't know Beck, but I'd bet he doesn't go on a little insulting tirade about Zogby. I'd further bet that Beck would respect Zogby's right to believe what he believes without disparaging him.

The passages I italicized are insulting and denigrating, but that seems to be the accepted mo of the word police. This is so not unexpected. The usual denigration and all. Zogby proves that he is a rank amateur when it comes to having the dialog he so wishes would occur regardless that Beck uses such horrifying words as "fathead" etc.

represents a truly troubling

the cost to their integrity has been staggering.

Their crude, cynical and cutting edge commentary, their feigning the role of the common man and their inflammatory "us versus them" rhetoric

has been a coarsening and dumbing down of our political discourse

instead of educating the public, this new breed of television pundits reduces issues to their lowest common denominator,

unenlightened view,

mishmash of cliches that reflect the prejudices of conventional wisdom.

his so-called obsessive crusade against radical Islam left me both horrified and profoundly concerned.

As for the rest Zogby's diatribe...

Beck has those damned Jews on who complain about their women and children being killed willy nilly by that "Evil 10 per cent" of radical Muslims.

What does Zogby say about those deaths?

About people asking where are the voices of condemnation from the Muslim community? Who among Muslims condemns violence?

The silence is deafening!

Beck is right, if he said so: Only when they do speak out, will radical Islam be defeated and the rest of us be safe from their scourge.

And it is a scourge...........period.

These are the folks who speak with Glenn Beck?

"Israelis, right-wing Americans with a long-established axe to grind against Arabs and Muslims, and lastly, a handful of Muslims who are largely alienated and self-styled outcasts who have found their shtick striking out against their co-religionists."

Ahhhhhh I see. Jews, right-wing Americans with an "axe to grind" and "outcasts." Not concerned and serious people with anything intelligent or critical to say. This is almost fascist in nature.

All bad as far as Zogby is concerned.

How dare he describe people like that.

Along with Walter Cronkite, what a flaming hack Zogby is.

Zogby would get rid of people like Sean Hannity, Don Imus and Glenn Beck. He would get rid of people who don't please John Zogby. He would get rid of their voices and have an "intelligent discussion" instead of "inflammatory rhetoric."

As long as we all agree with Zogby, all is well. As long as we don't, Mr. Zogby will be angry, crabby, grumpy and snappy.

Sounds like a Disney movie to me.

And I'd bet Zogby would fully support Kuchinich's attempts to revise the Fairness Doctrine to its former unconstitutionality too.
