Your argument doesn't refute my point. If we assume that all of it is true, it still doesn't mean that I wasn't right when I said -

"What gave Saddam the right to decide what's best for them? Iraq isn't a single person or a group in automatic 100% agreement. Saddam imposed on them. Freeing them from Saddam's decisions, and letting them vote for their own government isn't deciding what's best for them and imposing it on them."

Saddam is Iraqi. He is a product of that society. Iraqi politics put him in charge. Sure he was not elected by the people but there is a reason why there have never been free elections in Iraq. There is a whole history to that society that was ignored/overlooked by Bush and the neocons. No one who knows Iraq's history well would have recommended invasion. Bottomline: Iraq was/is not ready for democracy. And all the kings horses and all the kings men won't make it happen.

Iraq has been freed from the rule of a tyrant only to be ruled by violence.

The rule of a tyrant often is rule by violence, as was the case with Saddam. Also Saddam's rule was for 30 years, do you think that the violence in Iraq will continue at the same level for 30 years?

That's what you don't get. It could very easily.....maybe not as high pitched as it is now but Iraq nonetheless could remain violent for that period of time or longer. After all, the feud between the Sunnis and the Shia has been going on for over a thousand years.
