I'd say it's pretty much a combination of 2 things, for very-short-term traders:

(1) Buy on rumors, sell on news (except there weren't really any rumors, so
it was selling on news, which leads to point 2)
(2) Microsoft did not purchase Wavephore. They are "only" including a subset of WaveTop in IE4, if I read the press release properly.

This is certainly at least good news, but not good enough for short-termers. If you believe that Microsoft will continue to beat up Netscape with IE4, if you believe that the work Wavephore is doing with Microsoft and PBS opens up new markets, then hold your shares, have a good day and get a good night's sleep. I've held this stock for over 2 years and I've got no problem with the direction they are heading. But you'll have to make up your own mind. Remember that Windows has been delayed into 1998, so IE4 will be getting the lion's share of attention for awhile!

Regards,
Dave
