KT starts earnestly expanding subscriber base for WiBro as it holds an internal WiBro subscription event for students and businessmen.

KT(www.kt.co.kr CEO Nam, Joong Su) announced on Feb. 5 that it plans to offer WiBro subscribers various benefits through ‘KT WiBro Festival’ until 31st next month as a greeting for school graduation and entrance season.

KT offers promotional fee plans to the subscribers, who sign in during the event period, and applies those schemes until June including ? ‘WiBro Free’ with fixed fee of KRW 16,000 ?‘WiBro Saver (Basic fee KRW 6000, Base data volume 500MByte)’ ?‘WiBro Basic’(KRW 7500, 800MByte) ?‘WiBro Special (KRW 9000, 1.5GByte)’.


In addition, KT is expected to offer a variety of benefits such as an exemption of subscription fee, and a one-month free use to the subscribers who sign in for WiBro during this WiBro event period.

KT expanded the subscription places to include all areas of Seoul, agencies in KT Plaza of Bundang and Samsung Digital Plazas located in Yongsan shopping center, Techno Mart and Kukje Electronics Center for customers to conveniently subscribe for WiBro service in those places located near.

KT plans to launch various types of terminals such as smart phones, USB cards, UMPC, PMP and provide various types of user-tailored services such as lifestyle information type services including shopping, transportation, financial service and moving image UCC so that customers can conveniently use WiBro services in all areas of Seoul and major Metropolitan cities from April.
