Thanks for the links. It is surprising to see someone as well informed as yourself on the subject. I don't have enough data on the demographics to know what they are up to. As the article noted, the clerics and Ahmadinejad are at odds over issue. I suspect that Ahmadinejad is more popular with the working class than the clerics. At one point in time Ahmadinejad was thinking of going after former president (and the second most powerful cleric in Iran), Mr. Rafsanjani, on corruption charges. ...Personally I think allowing 16 year olds to vote is a great idea.
