How are you doing with your trip to the libarary? Let me save the trip, since it is so cold outside. You can search the book online, complements of Amazon.com amazon.com

Here is a very small portion of the text, but you have to read the whole page to get it:

1. on Page 157:
"... large extent we are also responsible for the unfolding of events. "For instance, many people blamed the Gulf War on Saddam Hussein. Afterwards, on various occasions I expressed, 'That's not fair! ..."

2. on Page 158:
"... you'll see that Saddam Hussein is part of the source of the problem, one of the factors, but there are other contributing conditions as ..."

Then again, the best advice in the book was actually on page 1. It basically says the most important step towards happiness is accurate perception of reality. Which is to say to see things are they are rather than as you wish them to be or your biases would have you perceive them.

Anyway, I have to take another extended leave...so enjoy.

PS Buddhist percepts are in subtle but significant ways different from the Judeo-Christian ways. Nirvana is not "Heaven" and your suffering in your next life is not a punishment for your present wrong doings...but that discussion is for another day.
