to discuss the motherboards. If you use survey to ask (I think you can do) PC manufacturers, "Do you really use Geniue Intel PC motherboards
(not limit to P II motherboards) for your PC? How many percent?" I think the answers will disapoint you. According to geographic features and technologies of Intel, like you posted, Intel should take advantages selling their motherboards to top 10 PC manufacturers. For example, DELL is very loyal to Intel's CPU, but if you ask what motherboards DELL use, I don't think you will see "Genuine Intel Motherboards" inside. I already told you Intel can design and manufacture motherboards but not necessarily to manufacture. The reason is the "cost". Let me ask you, "Can Intel make profit manufacturing a P II motherboard at price below $100.00 in Portland?
If the answer is "No". Why Intel is so stupid to involve motherboard
industry to compete with other manufacturers? If the answer is "Yes".
You can ask the top 10 PC manufacturers if they are going to use "Genuine Intel Motherboard". I will tell you the answer is "No". The reason is that probably other oversea manufacturers can make P II motherboard at $50 to provide top 10 PC makers at same quality of Genuine Intel Motherboard. Believe or not. Anyone comments.
