Give me a break.

Don't get me wrong -- I think it is great Sirius is finally getting a channel that addresses the genre (now, if they can only fill in the other massive holes in their music lineup!).

But having Nancy Sinatra host a show doesn't exactly suggest SIRI is doing anything major in the content area.

XM's content is, unfortunately, still an order of magnitude better than SIRI's, all the way around. Even after SIRI lays out the money for the Sinatra name.

I know that this is first the result of XM giving up the name because they didn't want to pay the price; but it really seems that SIRI is trying to figure a way to address a demographic that they had basically ceded to XM some time ago.

You just wonder what else they could have done with that money (admittedly, 1/200,000th of what they're paying Stern, but they won't get value out of it).
