AKAM Akamai Tech Conference Call Summary (56.95 +1.82) -Update-

Notes 2006 was the fourth straight year of accelerated revenue growth... EPS increased 94% y/y... regarding 2007 says 'more excited than ever for opportunities of growth in the market place'... notes International sales were approx 23% of revs... see very strong demand from existing customers which helped improve ARPU... no customer accounted for 10% of revs in Q4 or Y06... ended with $435 mln of cash and cash equivalents; cash from operations were down $22 mln sequentially... CapEx were $63.9 mln for 2006... Nine systems adds about $15 mln and expect Netli to be about the same; says will add $25-30 mln... Guidance for 2007: expected revs of $610-625 mln, consensus is $572 mln; Expect margins to maintan same downward trend as Y06; expects EPS of 1.26-1.30, consensus is $1.21; says adjusted EBITDA margins will improve by 4 points... expect EPS of $0.28 in Q1, consensus is $0.27, expect revs between $136-140 mln, consensus is $128 mln... Co says they represent quality and differentiated service so they are able to get premium pricing... says will see a dip in gross margins but believe they will be able to manage costs and improve bottom line margins... co says can't really combine AKAM and Netli's technology at this point; says they will need to bring them together to provide a better offer... co said did not see any major shifts in pricing or traffic for the quarter... says acquisitions validate that it was a co 'not married to what we invented'; says would buy instead of build and continue to invest in R&D... notes that they still expect that Netli to be breakeven for 2007 and then accretive for 2008... call has ended... stock is trading at 56.26 in after hours.
