It's a good question, and I will think about that. My son-in-law's Dad died a few hours ago after being very sick for several months. Our mutual grandkids are hugely saddened as is the entire extended family. He was a Doc and a wonderful man who was very well known here and around the world in many places. He was a Doc and an officer in the Korean War. He had a strong religious belief. He usually voted as a Democrat. He didn't want our mutual Grandkids to go to war. Nor did he want them to live under murdering barbarian terrorist rule either.

However, he didn't see how we could negotiate with terrorists. Most of the terrorists seem to be funded by different countries, and these terrorists don't wear a uniform of any country. He seemed to have changed his mind over the last few years, because he said that we could not ignore the situation any more, as we had been doing. He felt we just have to deal with it now. Or, our greatgrand kids of someday, either may not be born, or will not live their lives in the freedom we have today.

We agreed and still do agree on that.

We never did agree on the social giveaway programs.

We did agree that if we didn't have our country, that the social programs didn't matter anymore.

However, we both agreed that the world situation is dire, and the United States really has done more than any other country in the world for the world's peoples.

With those thoughts again fresh in my mind tonight, that's why I would vote Republican again for President. NONE of the current Democrat candidates have the will, nor the moral strength to stand up for our way of life.

If a Scoop Jackson were to reappear, I might rethink that. But the current crop of Dems is not strong enough to even carry Jackson's note papers.

Think Thomas Jefferson. Or George Washington. Or Abraham Lincoln Do we deserve a candidate like any of them again?

I think we do. But the politics of destruction may hinder us with our goal to continue being the wonderful, and strong, Country we have been for over 230+ years.
