I don't like Coldwater Creek because it's CFO is Melvin Dick, the partner in charge of the Worldcom audit when he was at Arthur Andersen.

He signed the financial statements of Worldcom as materially correct and then claimed he had "no inkling" of any fraud.

When the world's largest accounting fraud slips under your nose, you're either a crook or a raging idiot.

I think he's a crook who avoided any fallout from Worldcom by claiming ignorance and stupidity.

Coldwater is having a call today to update their 2007 earnings expectations.

In my experience, when companies miss revenue and earnings expectations once, they will do it again a few times. Managements are too optimistic that trends will turn around and keep disappointing.

I would stay away from the stock. I don't like frumpy old lady clothes and I don't trust management.
