All the libbers can talk a good game after the facts, but no one had good "experience" in this type of fighting or this sort of war. Rumsfeld has as good of credentials as anyone. Who is to say that if we HAD kept the army together, things would have been better...you don't know that.

It would never be enough for your type to be happy. If I was the President, I would have already told your type to kiss my butt if you can do better....run for office.

The facts are that war is not a cut and paste enterprise, and good men and women die and get hurt in war. Another fact is, that there have been fewer men/women die than in any war, and the majority of the soldiers believe in what they are doing.

Currently, MY opinion as a civilian not trained in warfare would be to train 200,000 Iraqi soldiers....then back off into the desert and tell them to get rid of al-sadr by ANY means and get control of the sectarian fighting and then we can help them.

BTW, most of our soldiers are not being killed by sectarian fighting...but by terrorist.....do you REALLY believe that the terrorist are NOT going to fight us elsewhere if we pull out? What will they bomb then? Another warship?, another barracks? another building in NY? another US base?
