All of those things may be true except the first statement. They are claiming martyrdom in the name of Islam. It is not justified in any sense, which is why it has a counter productive effect on the rest of the world. In addition, Israel and others can exploit these events for their own purposes. Bigots love draw attention to it as justification to intimidate and oppress innocent Muslims. Radical extremists like to use it as a rallying cry to further their self serving violent agendas.
