READ THIS pls.
I am s a Dell shareholder. a happy one. so when i was going to buy a new system, i naturally turned into dell.
waited for a month, my system finally arrived. Pentium II 300, 128MB RAM, 8.4GB HDD etc. and 20in monitor. very excited. couldn't wait to turn it on.
but when i do turn it on, nightmare begins. first a series of beeps... called technical support, opened the box and NO RAM! NO RAM! can you believe that? NO RAM?! what the??? 128MB RAM and turns out to be NO RAM?
then even worse! the monitor began smoking! literally smoking! what the hell? what happened to Dell's QA???
am i the only one ever to encounter such poor quality service?
one good thing... technical support was generally helpful and they said i will have the replacement monitor and the ram by friday... we will see...
i hope this does not reflect dell in general. could it be they are hurrying their orders out of the door so badly and sacrificing quality?
