Most of the *national* (not the State) polls seem to show something like that.

Still... I expect a hard charge (on both the Rep and Dem sides) by the second and third tier candidates to knock-off the current top runners.

Guilianni's numbers might not be able to withstand a closer public examination of his past... while McCain (for better or worse) is a much better-known quantity nationally.

If *both* McCain and Guilianni are laid low though... it might be possible to wind up with something like a Clinton/Obama vs. Romney/Gilmore, or Romney/Newt contest.

(Which would be *way* wild. :-)
