President Andrew Johnson and President Bill Clinton have both been impeached as president. Once Impeached you are placed on trial by the US Senate. To be convicted you must be found guilty by two-thirds of the Senate. Andrew Johnson missed being found guilty in the Senate trial by one vote, other wise he would have been removed from office. historyplace.com President Nixon was bound for impeachment but resigned under the circumstances. President Ford, his successor, immediately pardoned him.
