preparing for failure in Iraq... On the contrary, everyone thinks it will not only fail to achieve its aims but also accelerate instability by providing a glaring example of U.S. incapacity and incompetence.... Which is why I'm so amazed that no one talks about WHY the US Military can't win in Iraq. Why? It's so incredible that this could be happening yet again and on such a huge scale and in such a sensitive area. The military is so hugely expensive why can't it get the win? It's almost nonsensical that people say, well, the military is doing a great job. How is that possible if they aren't winning after 4 years of this grind? How can they be doing a great job? It's sad but it's nonsense.
