I see......you want your leaders to represent your beliefs and presumably vote the way you would vote but you don't want him/her to listen to the polls. Are you expecting your leaders to have ESP?

He's expected the public to vote in leaders who they mostly agree with.

If the voters want "A" they vote in someone who supports "A". They don't have to vote for someone who will change his mind with every poll.


Your response is ridiculous. When people are elected, there isn't a list of predetermined agenda items with which everyone is in agreement. Things develop that no one might have anticipated. People are polled to determine what they thinking about a particular situation. That polling takes place in a number of ways. Its how an elected leader stays in touch with his/her constituency.

Why are you people so rigid? Why can't a person's POV change as a situation changes? Why is it wrong to accurately reflect your consituency when you are leader?
