I am surprised that there has not yet been any comments to this post addressing the issue of tax?

I deliberately kept tax out of the valuation because US corporations can carry forward net operating losses for 20 years for tax purposes. As we all know Medarex has accumulated sizeable net operating losses over the years so I do not expect them to pay much taxes.

In retrospect, however, I think I should perhaps have applied a 35% corporate tax rate and then make a valuation of Medarex's tax benefit from accumulated net operating losses. What is your opinion on this?
