I just read on another thread that the GDP of the UAE is less than the US state of Georgia. But, thank God for Mississippi!

I wouldn't believe everything you read on other threads.

The ADCCI chief added: "The 2006 GDP which stood at Dh367 billion, was driven by high average price of oil at US$64.5 a barrel. These prices are expected to continue in 2007." Al Shamsi predicted allocation of huge investment for development of the oil sector.

Dh367 billion is about US$100 billion.

How does the UAE do it? Uhmmmm, who knows, just praise the rulers!

"The economy will maintain its spiral growth, thanks to the wise policies pursued by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan and General Sheikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces."
