The U.S. Department of Transportation released its " Air Travel Consumer Report" on 2006 this week. Here's how Alaska Airlines scored:

On time

Overall percent of flights arriving on time last year:

73.3 percent -- ranked 15th out of 20 airlines.

Percent of regularly scheduled flights in December that arrive late 70 percent of the time:

1.2 percent of flights -- ranked 12th.

Regularly scheduled flight that arrived 15 minutes late or more 80 percent of the time or greater:

Juneau to Sitka flight -- averaging 31 minutes late.

Bumped passengers

Bumped passengers hold confirmed reservations but are denied boarding an oversold flight.

1.26 passengers bumped per 10,000 last year -- ranked 11th.

91 percent volunteered their seats.

Cancellations

Overall percentage of flight cancellations in December:

2.4 percent -- ranked 10th.

Baggage

Rate of mishandled baggage (lost, damaged, delayed or pilfered) last year:

5.71 mishandled bags per 1,000 passengers -- ranked ninth.

Consumer complaints

0.52 per 100,000 passengers last year -- ranked fifth.
