koan, I can only assume that silver was purchased and delivered because slv shares were selling at a premium and sold short by authorized participant. These participants then delivered to get new shares to cover their shorts. It is not easy to obtain the same historical data for SLV that is available for GLD. I am happy to see silver go up but am not a good person to ask about its direction, because I hve no well thought out ideas on where it is headed or why.
