My family once owned a small island in Ontario so I can understand what you are saying. I have even seen pictures of homes where the border between USA and Canada runs THROUGH their home. Does that mean they need a passport to go from the kitchen to the bathroom? hehe. But, I have a solution I have dreamed of all my life. That is USA and CANADA become ONE NATION. All that land and resources and all our money and people to develop it. What a growth opportunity that would last for a 100 years or more. jdn
