This thread is about as dead as discussions of oil sands were five years ago and as uranium was until a couple of years ago.

Is anyone here besides me holding DBA? Corn is already up 68% in the last five months, but wheat hasn't done much and soybeans are up about 30%. Sugar is actually way down. Each of these is supposed to make up 25% of the value of DBA, rebalanced every November. I think the ethanol craze, a falling dollar, and foreign purchases are driving up corn prices and that in turn is taking US cropland into corn and out of other grains. I think for these reasons the whole sector may enjoy very strong and rising prices for two years or more.
