You could call it the "I can't stand Jazz basement group" But, if you were planning to switch nights with druggies and sex addicts, I probably shouldn't play this example. It is Bill Evans playing "Some Day My Prince Will Come"--some think it is a song about infertility. But that is besides the point. Evans lays down the beautiful melody that we all know and then does circles around it, returning at the end to the melody. Along the way, even if it makes Euterpe dizzy, the chords are marvelously rich and the camera work on the players fingers in wonderful. Black and white, circa 1965 for a BBC radio broadcast in London. Who are these people who caught the performances on film. If you tire of it, call your husbands in to listen. My last jazz posting, Euterpe,unless I get a following on this thread.<g>
