Here's an interesting stock.

bont, Bon Ton stores. This is a retailer of regional department stores that made a sizeable acquisition from Saks last year. Comps are mid single digits while revenue and profits are growing strongly due to the acquisition.

There is only 7 million shares in float and 2 million are short. The stock recently blasted out of a triangle and the shorts haven't covered. They are totally screwed.

They are so certain that a highly indebted regional department store chain is hosed in a housing slowdown that they are digging in.

This is one of my favorite situations. The stock is due for a pullback but is buyable as long as the uptrend remains in place. At only 13 times forward earnings, this stock can easily move another 30% higher while the shorts cry uncle.
