One of the courses I loved to study at MIT Sloan school of business management(course 15) is business case history.

When they do business case study, it is not about accounting numbers.

It is about how a business turned around because of business strategy change.

It is not about business intelligence. But it could be cheap technology. Source of raw material, or labor saving automated production equipment that only you have because you built it yourselves.

You have to train your own personnel, so that efficiency can be higher because everyone knows what not to do. But more importantly, who they should know?
