U.S. ABB Unit Wins $12 Million Contract For Turbines At Indonesian Power Plant

NORWALK, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 1, 1997--A U.S.-based unit of ABB Inc. has won a contract worth approximately $12 million to supply four 31
megawatt steam turbines to a diesel- and coal-fired power plant being constructed in Indonesia. Fluor Daniel Inc. awarded the contract to ABB Power Generation
Inc. of Midlothian, Va.

The $1.6 billion plant will be located at the future site of a copper and gold mine on the island of Simbawa. It is being built by Fluor Daniel for Denver, Co.-based
mining company P.T. Neumont Nusa Tenggara. The plant will generate power to operate the mine. ABB will provide four steam turbines.
