They will do this because they don't have the experience, or confidence of channel development behind them, and so, are grossly underestimating the impact of moving from a direct vertical market to a disparate horizontal sales force serving almost everyone. The dynamics that underlay this business are utterly............ dynamic.
Over the coming years, I doubt whether there are 50 other public companies that will do as well against thier own comps as this one will.
Time and the discontinuity between whats driven the market up to now, and this particular companies strengths in simplifying, and fully characterizing the application, will begin to contract the distances in relative size, between this group and thier larger competitors.
Customers don't like the mess they find themselves in, disaggragation is a no no; when you are trying to streamline critical functions. Only our little gem, scales to productivity without creating a support nightmare, and still provides the forward applications being planned for, in fact craved by those seeking the edge.
ive said it before and I'll say it again....this is a keeper and a continuing accumulation. The relative scarcity of supply here is a huge plus, we are way ahead of the curve on recognizing this companies unique comparative advantages; moving into a time line that the application shifts to horizontal, across the whole spectrum of company sizes.
I've listened to this CEO for 5 years now, he's like many of our top group, conservative but confident.........under both of these exteriors......he is just plain giddy about his own prospects, and that SIPers is precious state of mind.
I remember well when the CEO of EM100 began to sound exactly like this, its not overconfidence either, what it is; is awareness of the attention paid to the product and the customer, and from that awareness, Knowing emerges. In case you dont have a feel; "knowing" is nothing like the wishy washy attitudes and behaviors demonstrated by the conscripts that fill so many companies leadership positions.
They have no investment in the creation, innovation or the eventual outcomes, they are simply gap fillers placed in positions where their resume is all they have, or need, as far as they themselves are concerned......... We sell these characters because they are always the same pathetics who will overpay themselves and under perform for shareholders.
