Don't they have accounts receivable? Maybe their balance sheet would be a better place to look.

The reorg should be coming to a close, maybe they set aside some funds there which are no longer required. It seemed to me every time they spoke about reorg over the last few years, they was always few $100M on the line. When companies throw out everything including the kitchen sink, doesn't some of the stuff(!) usually feed back into the system. They've been through their books so many times, who really knows!

You are right that a detailed retake on their rebuilt balance sheet and new reporting buckets is not a bad idea, especially the liquidity section. A good chunk of their cash (in addition to some new equity) is going to be required for them to rework the long term liabilty side of their minuscule kitchen. The last time I looked they have $1.8B due in 2008 and their revolving EDC loan of $1.3B needs servicing this month.

Some of the unallocated $450m might well come from their LG and leaseback arrangements or maybe they excuted on some outstanding credit facilties in anticipation of reduced future cash flow generation. $600M came from credit facilities during the prior 2006 quarters.

Maybe Bill bought some shares from treasury or had his foundation foot them a loan of a few loonies to spread WiMAX thoughout the developing world as an educational initiative against the ongoing spread of Aids.

The 2nd half of Feb approaches, so we should hear soon.
