TEFRA raised taxes in large part by getting rid of abusive tax shelters for the super-rich....Reagan signed it because Congress promised to cut spending $3 for every $1 TEFRA raised, but of course, being Democrats, they reneged. That's not the point. The point is that Reaganomics never happened. If I accept your own words, Congress created the Federal Budget and Congress was responsible for 6 years of tax increases. The Federal budget and the Federal government grew. Reaganomics never happened. jttmab
