The reorg should be coming to a close, maybe they set aside some funds there which are no longer required. It seemed to me every time they spoke about reorg over the last few years, they was always few $100M on the line. When companies throw out everything including the kitchen sink, doesn't some of the stuff(!) usually feed back into the system. They've been through their books so many times, who really knows!

If that's the source of the $600M, the stock will get smacked because too many people have jumped on the bandwagon based on the premise of great earnings.

EDC loan of $1.3B

Is it this big? I thought it was only $700M.
[EDIT] If your number is correct, could this be the missing $600M?

Some of the unallocated $450m might well come from their LG and leaseback arrangements or maybe they executed on some outstanding credit facilties in anticipation of reduced future cash flow generation. $600M came from credit facilities during the prior 2006 quarters.

Doesn't that imply a larger debt than reported last qtr? No mention about debt was made in the recent PR.

Frankly, for a CEO that wants to be transparent, the recent PR just doesn't quite cut it fro me. My gut feeling is that the PR was released to temper the hit the stock price would've taken. It's almost like the stock has been artificially pumped to increase the stock value for some equity financing or a purchase. Guess we'll find out in time. Been holding this stock far too long to trust anything except hard facts.
