The business is slow and steady, and the stock volatile. Yet everyone expects the opposite of the former (growth, hockey stick), and predicts the opposite of the latter (stock will be stuck in this same spot ("5% swings") Both these expectations fly in the face of all history and evidence, yet they're still the most common posted positions.
