International law brings some order to the world

What kind of order did it bring to Rwanda, or Somalia, or the Congo? How many millions died in those places? What kind of order in the Balkans?

International law is a start, but it's sadly outdated, and because it's outdated, situations emerge that don't get the attention they deserve. If international law was more able to provide solutions to the problems posed by failed states and the world's few remaining rogue dictatorships - and let's face it, solutions to that sort of problem will often require a more flexible attitude toward sovereignty - there would be a lot less incentive for the US, or others, to act unilaterally.
