Oh its very possible he balanced the budget. It takes that long for the tax cuts to work. Then of course they screwed that up. Now GW's tax cuts are working fabulously and they are projecting the budget be balanced in 09. Just imagine the press orgy over the Democrat who has been in office for 38 days has now balanced the budget. Then of course they will follow that with tax increases, etc and totally hose the economy yet again. Rinse, lather and repeat. There is also the little issue of how the economy is reported under a Republican administration versus Democratic. We have the strongest most sustained economy in my memory yet the press is constantly telling us how bad it is and almost 50% of the country believe that.
