Chrysler to cut 13,000 jobs

------DaimlerChrysler AG said Wednesday it plans to slash 13,000 jobs at Chrysler and hinted it may try to dump its money-losing US division.

The US-German automaker unveiled a new turnaround plan for Chrysler, designed to save 4.5 billion dollars after the division lost 1.1 billion euros (1.5 billion dollars) last year.

But the company's announcement that "no option is being excluded" for its US arm fuelled speculation that chief executive Dieter Zetsche is seeking a buyer for Chrysler, nine years after it merged with Germany's Daimler-Benz.....
