Sorry dude! I've been listening to country for most of my life, and (IMO) Shania is just another one of those generic crossover women singers that have brought the industry down to the level it's currently at. The market is flooded with them, shouting out songs that try to glamourize the female redneck. Let me exlpain the redneck girl (biological name: Skankus Erectus) to any of y'all that have never experienced the joy of living in the southeast. She gave her last lap dance at an early age because her body was shot to hell from having 3 kids by the time she turned 21. She's destined to a life of waiting tables to pay the rent on her trailer, while dreaming of settling down with a man that can hold a steady job. Her only political cause is the legalization of marijuana, and her favorite joke starts with "Pull my finger!". Unfortunately, there's a thriving market for the music of Shania, Gretchen Wilson, and such, but PLEASE don't try to put them anywhere near the level of Patsy Cline, Becky Hobbs, Jean Shephard, or the rest of the female pioneers of country music that paved the way for them.
