thread, ascend opinion from one of the largest ISP's in Austin. They say the GRF is 10 times faster than the closest Cisco, but Cisco has announced a new prodcut. Their opinion is that cisco is always late with their shipments and their quality is okay but with ascend they are excellent in quality. Their ISDN is all going ascend to. They have already eval'ed the MAX NT for free and it's a killer product. They don't see ADSL as hurting anything yet since there is still a 18,000 feet limitation from the pop and it's still expensive. I didn't spend much time on adsl since I don't think it's a great choice now. Okay, I have another ISP to talk to and then find out about ascend systems since their inventory turns bother me. I know that their engineering hold is hurting but I want to know more. These ISP's I'm talking to are huge, they aren't a mom and pop shop.
