Mitt is a good guy with a lot of interesting ideas and management knowhow. When he was first elected governor, he cut the state budget by combining some agencies and firing hundreds of state lawyers and PR flacks. In about a year, he had the budget balanced without a tax increase. A great first year.

Then he stopped being governor. He decided he was going to run for president and spent the next three years laying the foundation. Because of his frequent absence, a lot of people in the state are miffed at mitt.

As far as being president goes, I think Mitt possesses good judgment, solid core principles, and is as honest as a pol can be. He is smarter than McCain and more wholesome than Giuliani. But he'll have to ward off the anti-mormon press and the Massachusetts Dem party, which has promised to stalk him with a smear team.
