Nasty little buggers and their bite is awful. One morning I woke up with 8 spider bites on my back. I had a reaction and had to call the doc. She said to take benadryl and call if that didn't relieve my itching. (it was that internal itching that you can't scratch) I used to let them be because according to Japanese lore it is bad luck to kill them, but I really hate spiders now and kill them whenever I find them in my house.

And I always kick the wood and use gloves when I go to get wood in the wood pile.
