Well, right, cuz Pfizer hasn't only just gotten started. Feel free to keep us tuned in on NVO thoughts going forward. I expect they'll gradually change. One interesting comment during Q&A at the ML conference was that Exubera was getting put on Tier 2 for most insurers, and that NKTR was unaware of any major insurer refusing to cover. Also that EU is typically a more difficult market for follow-on drug delivery enhanced products. So the initial roll-out there won't reflect the experience in the US market, IMO. Pfizer is just "a few weeks" into serious launch, and still won't be doing DTC for a while. As before, I expect sales momentum to build steadily. They characterize their lead as "several years." Seems optimistic, but perhaps investors aren't appreciating the challenges of getting such a product from PIII to launch. It ain't just a pill.

They were asked about their 2nd generation product. They would only say that a) they get to look at everyone else's first generation products, and b) that their goal is to hit the market at the same time as or even before competition. We'll see about that. Glitches in manufacturing and scale-up could hit NKTR or their competition to alter the relative timelines.

Cheers, Tuck
