He told me point blank that the creation of israel has stolen land from the palestinian state and the palestinians were fighting to get it back. He thought all the israelis there came after the creation of this state of Israel from the remnants of the jews left in Europe. He thought Israel was created for jews because of the holocaust and they did not want to live in Europe, so the UN made up a place for them to live. There was no malice in any of this. He was completely ignorant of any history at all. He did not know anything about the 48 war, the 67 war, the 73 war or the lebanese civil war

Apparently, Zeev is a little ignorant himself. The Zionists bought up land in Palestine. In most instances, buying land in foreign places doesn't normally guarantee you statehood......not unless you take advantage of a less sophisticated people. Its why most countries make it difficult for foreigners to own land.

In addition, the US, in part, did cave to the Zionists' demand because of the Holocaust. There was the feeling by some that had the US entered the war sooner not as many Jews would have been exterminated.

Finally, when did war allow you to steal the property of a people who were not the war's antagonists? Certainly, the Israelis didn't let Switzerland steal the property of Jews during WW II.

He never heard of the British Mandate, didnt understand the ottoman empire, and had never read Mark Twain and didnt know Jaffa oranges started shipping in 1898. Never saw any newspaper headlines about throwing jews into the sea or a war of extermination. He supposed that this was Israeli propaganda after the current problems started. He said he learned all of this on CNN and the newspapers.

All nonsense........I listen to CNN. They haven't lied about Israel....if anything they are pro Israeli. Zeev is making this up and you are buying it hook, line and sinker like you lap up other rightie lies. You should be ashamed!
